Built Stronger. Built to Last.

When you’re looking for a new field shelter, you don’t just want something that looks the part, you need something that will last. We build mobile field shelters that are stronger, sturdier and more dependable than many others on the market.

Constructed from premium, pressure treated timber with solid frames, reinforced kickboards and heavy-duty fixings, our shelters are made to cope with the British weather and the daily wear and tear from horses and livestock.

  • Built To Last

Strong frames made from oversized timbers that won’t twist or weaken.

  • Premium Timber

All timber is pressure-treated for long-term resistance against rot and damp.

  • Designed for Animals

Robust kickboards and solid construction withstand rubbing, leaning and kicking.

  • Withstands All Weather

Deep roof overhangs, secure cladding and galvanised fixings protect against the elements.

  • Fully Mobile

Strong skids mean your shelter can be moved when needed, without sacrificing stability.

  • Stronger than Standard

Engineered to outperform lighter alternatives, giving you confidence in both durability and safety.

"I had a 12x14 field shelter made for my big horse who can’t be stabled but still needs shelter in bad weather. It’s been absolutely perfect for him. I added mats and bedding so I can use it as a stable when I need to, which has worked really well. It gives him the protection he needs without shutting him in, and I’m really pleased with how it’s turned out."

Mobile Field Shelters

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need planning permission for a field shelter?

Not always! If your shelter is mobile (built on skids or wheels and moveable around the field), you often won’t need planning permission. But councils do vary, so it’s always worth giving yours a quick call to double-check.

What size field shelter should I go for?

That depends on how many horses (or other animals) you’re housing. As a rough guide:

  • 12x12ft suits one horse or pony (approx 15.2hh)
  • 12x14ft suits one large horse (over 15.2hh)
  • 24x12ft is perfect for a pair
  • Bigger herds? You’ll either want a larger shelter or a couple dotted around.

Can I use a field shelter as a stable?

Yes, we can add doors, gates or partitions to turn their shelter into a stable block.

Does a field shelter need a base?

Not necessarily. They can sit straight onto grass, but hardcore, concrete or rubber matting makes for better drainage and less mud.

Can field shelters be moved easily?

Our bespoke service offers excellent value for money by delivering a tailored solution that meets your exact requirements, potentially saving on unnecessary features or adjustments that come with standard products.
